What it is
A sewer camera inspection (some people call it a sewer scope) is the only way to see inside a buried line without digging. A camera head on a flexible push cable goes in through your cleanout. LEDs light the pipe, a footage counter tracks how far in we are, and a transmitter in the head lets us find the exact spot from above ground.
Signs it's time
- 01Drains that gurgle or empty slowly
- 02Backups in the lowest drain in the house, often a tub or floor drain
- 03Sewer smell in the yard or under the house
- 04A soggy patch or a dip in the ground along the line
- 05You've had the main snaked more than once this year
- 06You're about to buy, sell or renovate
What you get
- A live view on our monitor, start to finish
- The full recording, with time and distance on every frame
- Stills of every problem, with distance and depth
- A plain-English write-up: fix now, keep an eye on, or leave alone
Why lines fail here
New Orleans is rough on sewer lines. Live oak roots follow moisture into old joints, soft ground lets pipes settle into bellies, and a lot of houses still sit on cast iron or clay from the early 1900s. A camera tells you which of those you're dealing with, so the fix fits the problem.
